Spice Up Your Sauvignon With These Mouth-Watering White Wine Cocktails!

Seeking a revolutionary new treat for your evening soirées or lunchtime gatherings? For a truly hip and delicious beverage, build the refreshing and crisp tones of Sauvignon Blanc into a wonderful white wine cocktail! Sip as a cool apéritif or pair with a complementary food; such as cheese or fish in a lemon sauce for a fabulous dining experience.

Fruity cocktails

Sweet fruit juices can offset the taste of a dry Sauvignon and this combination can certainly appeal to the ladies…

Crimean Cocktail  

Infuse lemon and orange with the refreshing taste of Sauvignon to really tickle your taste buds. To start, stir together 50ml of Sauvignon, the juice of 1 lemon and 75ml of orange liqueur (such as Cointreau) and strain into a martini glass. Finally, add a splash of soda water and serve.

Hillary Wallbanger  

To make this stunning cocktail, pour 100ml of dry white wine and 50ml of orange juice into a tall glass nearly filled with ice cubes. Stir well, then float a spoonful of herbal liqueur (such as Galliano) on top of the ice cubes. Your cocktail is now ready to enjoy!

Mistral  

This fruity cocktail uses a sweet strawberry base. To create this meld of sweet red fruits and crisp white wine; pop 25ml of raspberry liqueur (such as Chambord), 50ml of Sauvignon, a small handful of frozen strawberries and a large handful of crushed ice into a blender. To finish, pour into a champagne saucer and serve.

Dry and dry

Why not amplify the crisp taste of Sauvignon with another dry ingredient?

Martini Milano  

First, pour 50ml of gin, a dessertspoon of dry vermouth, a dessertspoon of Sauvignon and 1 tsp of Campari bitters into a cocktail shaker, half filled with crushed ice. Shake well then strain the mixture into a martini glass. If you desire, garnish with a lime twist for added zing..

Operator  

Add 50ml of dry ginger ale, 50ml of chilled Sauvignon and a generous squeeze of lime juice to a cocktail glass. Stir gently and if desired, add ice and half a slice of lime to add a bit of zest!

Fizzy cocktails

Add bubbles to your wine – perfect if you’re in a celebratory mood.

Aloha Bubbly  

This fruity and bubbly cocktail uses sweet pineapple juice to counteract the dry Sauvignon. Firstly, pour 50ml of pineapple juice, 50ml of sparkling water and ½ tsp of soft brown sugar into a cocktail glass and stir well. Then add crushed ice and 50ml of Sauvignon to the mixture. Add some more sparkling water and stir again. Finally, garnish with a strawberry then serve.

Drawbridge

First, fill a glass with 50ml of Sauvignon Blanc. Add a splash of Blue Curaçao Liqueur and 25ml of sparkling water. Garnish with a lemon twist then serve. 

Wine Cooler  

To create this cocktail, add 50ml of white wine and 125ml of lemonade to a large wine glass filled with ice and stir well.
